Sambangsa (三放寺)
Sambangsa is a Mahayana Dharma center dedicated to spreading the true teachings of Buddhism.
The name Sambangsa means “the place where the Buddha bestows three blessings—fortune, healing, and enlightenment.”
Construction of Sambangsa began on October 2, Buddhist Era 2558 (2014), and was completed on May 14, Buddhist Era 2560 (2016), in celebration of the Buddha’s Birthday.
Located within the 1,157,000 m² site of Mount Bulmo, the five-story temple building occupies about 2,975 m² of land. It includes a main Dharma hall, residential quarters, a dining hall, and administrative offices. Sambangsa serves as a place for Dharma sessions, scripture study, healing camps, and various Buddhism programs.
Mount Bulmo(佛母山)
대승불교 양우종 도량인 삼방사는 전라북도 완주군 경천면 가천리에 위치한 불모산(佛母山)에 조성되었으며, 불모산은 연화지지, 9겹 연꽃 자리에 해당하는 명당으로서, 예부터 구재(九宰)골이라고도 불리웠습니다.
불모산은 부처를 탄생시키는 산이라는 뜻으로서 수행자들이 이곳에서 수행정진하면 부처를 이룰 수 있는 곳이라는 의미입니다.
